Everything you need to climb the thirteen rungs — and everything that will drag you back down them.

The Thirteen Rungs

Every soul in the coven sits on one of thirteen tiers. Your tier is computed from real activity — auctions won, vixens chasing you, holds retained — and cannot be bought or boosted. Climb is earned. Fall is earned too.

What lifts a Vixen

  • Stealing a held Stag in an auction (biggest reward — multiplied by his tier)
  • Claiming an unheld Stag for the first time
  • Holding the same Stag for seven days or more
  • Winning auctions against higher-tier rivals
  • Showing up consistently — weekly streaks

What lifts a Stag

  • Vixens initiating challenges and claims on you
  • Sparking a bidding war (two or more Vixens fighting for you in one auction)
  • Total credits Vixens are willing to burn for you
  • High-tier Vixens returning to claim you again
  • Showing up consistently — weekly streaks

What drags you back down

The coven punishes bad faith. The following will cost you points and can drop you tiers:

  • Not showing up for an agreed date — ghosting in the flesh
  • Going silent in chat for days after an offer is accepted
  • Disrespect, harassment, or breaking the rituals of the room
  • Not honoring an offer you made (the Drinks, Dinner, Weekend, or Bespoke promise)
  • Repeated complaints from the other side of a hold

The Hold — penance & redemption

A Vixen who breaks the rituals can be placed in the Hold. She is pulled out of the open game — no claims, no challenges, no auctions. She remains visible only to the bottom three rungs of Stags:

Lv 2 · Curious StagLv 3 · Playful HartLv 4 · Velvet Rack

Her path back is through them. A coffee date. A real conversation. A bit of humility. These are the Stags often overlooked at the top of the room — and in the Hold they hold all the cards.

Any of those bottom-tier Stags can raise an up-flag for her after an interaction. Two up-flags and she is released — back into the open game with her tier intact and a quiet warning on her record.

Why this exists

The coven is a bidding war, not a slot machine. The auction only works when both sides keep their word — when a Stag actually shows up for the Weekend he was offered, when a Vixen actually meets him for the Drinks she paid for. The Hold is the pressure valve that keeps the game honest, and the bottom tiers are the gatekeepers because they have the most to gain from a Vixen finally giving them the time of day.
